World premiere of the film “Afterwater” directed by Dane Komljen at the Berlinale!

Dane Komljen from Banja Luka will present his feature film called “Afterwater” at the 72nd Berlin Film Festival – Berlinale 2022, as part of the Forum selection. Komljen was born in 1986 in Banja Luka, and currently lives and works in Berlin. He studied film and art.

His first feature film, All the Citites of the North, premiered in 2016. Afterwater is his second feature film. Komljen is recognized around the world as a very important author of feature films.

Thanks to his specific film expression, special screenings and retrospectives of his film works were organized at the Lincoln Center in New York, as well as at the Institute of Modern Art in London.

The film consists of three parts, each shot in a different part of the world and with a different shooting technique, from 16mm and 8mm film to modern digital cameras, moving between past, present and future and between documentary, feature and experimental forms.

The Berlin Film Festival started on February 10 and lasts until February 20, 2022.
